SOURIAU, one of the world leader in aeronautical connectors, has been named supplier of the year 2007, in the “Main supplier” category by the AIRBUS centre for electrical excellence. After having received the same award in 2006 and having won the contract to equip the Boeing 787 Dreamliner during the summer of 2007, this most recent award confirms SOURIAU’s world leadership in circular connectors for commercial aircraft. SOURIAU is one of AIRBUS’ main suppliers for on-board electrical and optical connection equipment. AIRBUS partner for many years now, SOURIAU continually invests in its industrial facilities and in the development of new technologies such as high-power transmission, composite materials or very high speed signal transmission via copper or optical lines.
The criteria that have enabled SOURIAU to stand out from its competitors over the last two years are the quality of its products (100 ppm for 2007), logistic excellence with 97% on-time deliveries, and high reactivity in the development of new products. “We were proud to have received this award for 2006 and we are particularly proud to receive it for the second year in a row. It is the fruit of the involvement of the whole company in the total quality strategy and in the constant improvement process at our French and Moroccan production facilities for several years.” explains François Calvarin, Chairman of Souriau.
